Haley Proctor is an artist than brings her paintings to life with bright, beautiful colors and thick brush strokes. Haley Proctor’s love for animals and nature is made very evident in her paintings. Growing up she was raised on her Grandparents Horse ranch. She started riding horses at just two years old and started training and selling Tennessee Walker Paints at ten years old. When she wasn’t working the horses she was in the woods with her Horse, who’s nose could find anything. Haley and her beagle would find new critters to bring home and scare the grandparents and with just enough convincing she would get to keep those critters.
By twenty years old Haley decided to marry her better half. After moving away from her grandparents and starting a life with her new husband she started taking in abused animals. If there was an animal on the side of the road Haley would never pass up the opportunity to give that animal a second chance at life. Horses of course, were also on that list of animals she would take in. She would spend hours working with abused horses and after a lot of hard work they would learn how to trust people again.
When Haley turned twenty one she realized there was going to be another member added to the family. Once she found out she was pregnant, training horses was out of the question which led her to painting. Since I can’t ride them I might as well paint them, she thought. She painted through out her entire pregnancy. She continues to paint full time and goes on a good horse ride every now and again. Her life experiences are expressed in every stroke of the brush. Her goal is for people to see God’s wonderful creations in a new light and a new color.
